As I age, I’ve noticed my nasolabial folds getting deeper and more noticeable, especially when I wear makeup. I didn’t like how it looked and I figured I can’t hide behind this mask forever. Plus I already have a bad case of naturally occurring RBF (Resting Bitch Face) So I decided to get try Juvederm fillers for the first time to soften the lines. I must admit, initially I was nervous. Would I like it? Would it be painful? After consulting with my plastic surgeon my fears were put to rest.
Now I want to answer some common questions you may have about face fillers and my experience with them.
- What is Juvederm?
Juverderm is a cosmetic injectable treatment made from hyaluronic acid. This treatment is made for the face, cheeks and lips and around the mouth.
2. How long does it last?
Results can last 1-2 years.
3. Was it painful?
In my opinion it wasn’t painful. I only felt a small prick when it was injected close yo my nose. Juvederm also contains the numbing ingredient lidocaine so it wasn’t so bad.
4. How much does it cost?
The average cost is between 600-800 per syringe.
5. Whats the difference between botox and facial fillers?
Botox freezes muscles and can minimize the look of lines and wrinkles caused by facial expressions. Facial fillers add fullness to areas that have thinned due to aging. This thinning usually happens around the lips nose and mouth.
6. Do you like the results?
YES! I love how it turned out! its very subtle and its looks natural. I would defiantly do it again!
