Wonderful Woman Owned Businesses

In celebration of Women’s History Month I’d like to highlight 3 of my favorite Philly based woman owned businesses. These 3 locations are my go to places when I need goodies for myself or gifts for friends and family.

The first gem I’d like to highlight is Marsh and Mane. Its is the beauty supply store of all beauty supplies stores. The products are highly curated and the offer the best selection of hair, body and gifting needs for the entire family. I recall during my first visit to Marsh and Mane I was warmly greeted by the owner Jenea Robinson and given a tour of the store. We chatted about some of her favorite products, life here in Philly, and we also discovered we both graduated from the illustrious Howard University(You Know!) I left with lots of new products to try and a wealth of new product knowledge. Whenever you are near the main drag of South Street makes sure you drop in to Marsh and Mane. https://marshandmane.com

Next up The Sable Collective. The Sable Collective is a dope online boutique that has something for everyone. The boutique features art, jewelry, bath and body products, clothing etc the ultimate gift shop for the culture! The owner Shanti Mayers sources much of her merchandise from local artisans which makes the boutique even more special. I always look forward to catching one of her instagram lives where she features the “maker” of a specific product or giving instructions on how to properly use an item. If you are looking for a unique gift for yourself or a friend definitely check out https://www.thesablecollective.com

Lastly Farmer Jawn. This farm stand is near and dear to my heart because I am a true foodie. Every week during the warmer months, I would make trips out to visit Farmer Jawn and purchase all of my produce for the week. Owner Christa Barfield would always be onsite and available to answer and questions about particular produce and suggestions on how to prepare it! She would do that via Instagram stories also. They also sold hand crafted teas(that Christa makes), locally baked breads, spice concentrates by Cooking Alchemy and fresh flowers. I can’t wait until the weather is warmer. Shopping here brings me so much joy and I know it will do the same for you. In the spring make sure you stop by and visit. https://www.farmerjawnphilly.com
